Dr. Vidita Powle Danait is a Surgical Oncologist in Pune with over 19 years of experience in the diagnosis and surgical management of both common and highly complex cancers, including cancers of the head and neck, thyroid and breast. She has performed more than 3,000 surgeries and is recognised for her meticulous surgical approach, evidence-based decision-making and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for every patient.
Dr. Powle believes that successful cancer treatment begins with understanding not only the disease, but also the individual, their health, priorities and treatment goals. She works closely with patients and their families to ensure they fully understand their diagnosis and options before any decision is made, and collaborates closely with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists and pathologists to deliver comprehensive, coordinated cancer care.
For Dr. Powle, successful treatment extends beyond removing the tumour. Wherever clinically appropriate, she places equal emphasis on reconstruction and rehabilitation, so that patients treated for head and neck cancer are able to retain their speech, swallowing and appearance, and return to their quality of life with confidence.
